These are the steps to set up an email account on Mozilla Mail. For this example, we will use the following parameters:
- You want to create the email account john@example.com.
- The password for this account is s3cret2991.
1. Open Mozilla Mail and go to the settings screen
Open Mozilla Mail, then click in the 'Edit' menu. Then select 'Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings...'.

The SMTP server is one used to send email. To set it up, click on the menu option labeled 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)' in the menu on the left.
- Your SMTP server name is mail.domain.com (if you're using our DNS service). So, if your domain is example.com, your SMTP server name will be mail.example.com. Enter mail.example.com in the 'Server Name' field.
- Make sure that 'Port' is 25.
- Check the 'Use name and password' checkbox. If you don't check it, you will not be able to send email to other domains.
- On 'User Name', enter your email address (john@example.com in this example).
- Finally, on 'Use secure connection' select 'No'.
